Shoreline - BraNewbs working partnership 08/17/2010
Shoreline Events Ltd and BraNewbs Photography are delighted to announce a working partnership agreement. Effectively immediately, Shoreline customers will have access to the full BraNewbs Photo sets for the rest of the 2010 season at the heavily discounted rate of only £3 - a saving of 70%. For the 2011 season, Shoreline aim to include the photosets in the ticket price of each event, meaning that all players will have access to the full BraNewbs photoset from each Shoreline event without having to pay a penny extra. This is an exclusive deal and only available to Shoreline customers. Tim Barnett, Shoreline: "Writing for a US paintball magazine, I get to see thousands of examples of paintball photography each year. I can honestly say that Andy's images are world class and I've long been a fan of what he does for UK Scenario Paintball. When the opportunity came along to partner with Andy I jumped at the chance. It means that my customers will now get access to the full photoset from each future Shoreline event at a fraction of the normal price and for the 2011 season I'll be looking at trying to incorporate the BraNewbs photosets into the ticket price for each event meaning that players will not have to pay extra. As an exclusive deal, it's something that Shoreline customers can look forward to at future events." Andy Newberry, BraNewbs Photography: "Partnering with Shoreline is excellent news for us. It means that our work will reach a much wider audience and with Tim's plans to include the photoset's into the event tickets for next year, everyone who will attend a Shoreline game will get to see our work free of charge. For non-Shoreline events, we will still be attending as many events as we can and our photodiscs from those events can still be purchased in the usual way." This event was a sort of tester for Shoreline Events. They wanted to try emulate the way games are run in other European countries buy running the event over the course of a whole weekend, offering many extra FREE activities but keeping the cost to that of a traditional scenario game. Sound good? Well it was damn AWESOME! Saturday's festivities included several paintball games, Target shooting for prizes (with re-balls and proceeds going to Help For Heroes), Airsoft (which I enjoyed immensly and laughed especially hard when Scoob from Ronin was blasted in the middle of his forehead) and a Mexican-themed dinner. Sunday saw many respectably-dressed wedding guests don battlepacks, masks, markers and sidearms to fight for either the Bride or the Groom's party. Much silly fun was had by all at a great paintball site (ProZone). Check out the Gallery HERE The only way the organisers could even break even was to get many more players booked in and although Shoreline heaped on the extras and a large contingent of players from around the UK attended, it almost wasn't worth their while. Even so, Shoreline is planning on running similar events in the future ..... the next being The Tippmann Challange. More news of events and the UK Scenario community coming soon. Andy Newberry BraNewbs Getting back up to speed 07/20/2010
What a busy few months it has been. Tony "Martello" Ledger and myself brought out the first UK Scenario Paintball annual. It took a very long time to collate all the info and photos of the various teams and games of 2009. After that was getting a design that we both approved of. The next hurdle was the lack of sponsorship and so Tony had to fund the whole project by himself as pre-sales didn't match up to promises made by the masses. But finally ... after alot of hard work (thank you Adam) it was finally released. It cost more than we anticipated as we could only afford to get 50 copies printed but after the initial release, another 30 copies were ordered and printed. We have alot of room for improvement but the general consencus was very positive. We have already started with the laborious task of collecting all the info and photos for the 2010 edition and with a little luck, this "Annual" will become just that .... and a tradition for years to come. If any player, team, organiser, business would like to contribute to this year's book, please contact Tony or myself. Updating the website will continue ... UK Scenario Annual 2009 Ahhhhhhhh ........ from a little help from Orange, I have wrestled back my phone line from the dreaded BT (not BT Rangers - the phone company). I shall now commence with catching up with the events that went down in the intervening weeks. I had the pleasure of playing Winter Assault at the Bunker a couple days before my birthday. Holy Damn .... it was so cool. Neal (my waist-coated mate) and I arrived late after taking the "scenic route" to Poltimore. We warmly greeted by Asher and his crew as always, we had cracking games with RPG's, Snipers, Riot Shields, etc. thrown into the mix. A Christmas lunch was included and THAT hit the spot. I'm pleased to say that I even shot The_Boy (although it was by mistake when he was walking out with his hands up - giggle giggle). Well done to D Rabe for POD (Player of the Day). Well deserved dude ..... you were an unstopple force all by yourself!! It was definitely the most fun I've had with my pants on!!! I ran out of paint during the last game and tactifully dis-engaged from combat and donned my High-Vis vest and camera. Check out the Winter Assault Gallery - HERE I have yet to work on some photos from the Stalingrad scenario game held at Bullswood Skirmish. Dan and his crew put on a great game that not even the weather could ruin. -Coming Soon- Allies win - Saving Ryan's Privates IV 11/11/2009

However, in the interim, Raymond Ko of PaintballPictures.co.uk has released some awesome photo coverage of the event. Check out his TimeWars 3 gallery HERE Sword and the Rings 09/14/2009
